The Meinl Byzance B19MTC-B is a 19-inch crash cymbal from the Byzance series - a family of cymbals that is known for its professional quality. Each and every cymbal in this series is hammered and finished by hand to guarantee optimal sound and maximum durability traits that are also partly thanks to the B20 bronze alloy they're made of, which contains 80% copper and 20% tin.

Meinl offers both heavier and lighter models of this crash, but the B19MTC Medium Thin Crash offers the perfect balance. By repeatedly polishing the cymbal, Meinl has applied a brilliant finish, which is reflected in the generous amount of overtones the sound possesses. Furthermore, this cymbal has a loud attack, but the core tone is quite low and warm. It produces a wash that has a wide frequency range, while the sustain is relatively short, keeping your playing from sounding too cluttered.
